No sooner have we put the pumpkins away and it is nearly time to start thinking about decking the halls with holly. If you are looking for the perfect place to soak in the Christmas spirit, Nottingham’s Winter Wonderland is really something and definitely worth a visit.

Thrill seekers can slide down a 30m long slide on an inflatable tube on Ice Mountain Toboggan. For those of you who prefer your ice on the ground, a huge ice rink offers 1,160 square metres of pristine ice right in the city centre, overlooked by the twinkling feature tree for you to enjoy a skate under the stars. If you prefer your ice in a glass visit the Ice Bar where you can enjoy drinks on faux fur covered sofas or enjoy a game of air hockey on a table made solely out of ice.

Alongside amusements and rides there are over 70 stalls for you to browse Christmas gifts and decorations, many of the stalls are local traders.  You can also enjoy a vast array of food stalls serving everything from bratwurst sausages, roast chestnuts, pulled pork, candy apples and Belgium waffles.  If you prefer a more VIP experience there is live entertainment on Fridays and Saturdays at Sur Le Piste Bar, soak up the atmosphere whilst enjoying a hot mulled wine or sipping on a stein.

The Christmas extravaganza is open now right up until Tues 31st December at Old Market Square.
